The day & food

A day full of discovery. Meals full of care.

A rhythm a child can count on, room to play, and food cooked in our own kitchen every morning.

How a day actually goes

This is how a day goes

  1. The van leaves earlier, on the route you agreed. The same person greets your child every morning — that is a good part of why settling in goes easily.

  2. Cooked that morning, in our kitchen. Nothing is reheated out of a bag, and you know the menu in advance.

  3. A song, a story and conversation in English. From here on, the day runs in English.

  4. The children choose what to play with. We are outside whenever the weather allows — the yard, a walk, the sea.

  5. Two courses, nothing half-prepared. Allergies and special diets are written up in the kitchen.

  6. A nap for the younger ones, outdoor play for the older.

  7. Numbers, shapes and logic through play. Fifteen children at most in the room, and two adults.

  8. Stories, picture books and careful listening — the part of the day where vocabulary is built.

  9. A healthy snack, and time with friends.

  10. Paint, instruments and work with their hands. We use international materials and learning through play.

  11. A short word with the parent about how the day went — every day, not only when something is wrong.

Our own kitchen

The food is cooked here.
This is what a week looks like.

There is no catering company. Breakfast, lunch and the snack are cooked in our kitchen every morning, and the menu goes up in advance. If there is something your child must not eat, it goes into the file at enrollment and the cook has it in front of her.

A typical week, not a fixed menu

Nothing half-prepared

Nothing is reheated out of a bag. Meat, fish and vegetables arrive fresh.

Allergies and special diets

Recorded at enrollment and kept in writing, in the kitchen and in the room.

The menu in advance

We put it on the website before the week begins. No sign-up, no email required.
